#vrikshambirthstory Hi Anu Akka, I am your quietest follower and I have attended all your classes. I feel so grateful for all the knowledge you shared during the session. Here comes my birth story.

It was on Feb 12 morning myself, my husband and my mom were seeing veetla visesham movie with full of laughter and joy. The same day mid night the contraction started and while I monitored it, I had contractions for every 10 minutes which lasted for 1 minute I waited till 4 am then informed my husband the same. By 5 am I informed my in-laws and the hospital. We reached the hospital by 7 am and when the nurse checked I was 1 cm dilated and the doctor said Let us see the progression if it is slow, you can go home…

I was afraid so I did not go home and the contraction remained the Same. And till Feb 14 morning, I was only 2 cm dilated, and literally, it was almost 2 days and I had no sleep as my contraction was very periodic and painful… I was able to survive with the techniques you taught in the class and took help from my mom dad and husband for massage…. by the Feb 14 afternoon physiotherapist came and with help of her we did all the exercises and which made my pain more severe and I was 3 cm dilated.

By that evening the doctor said if needed we could induce because my labor was super slow and I was completely drained. We said yes to induction at 8:30 pm and the procedure started I was able to manage the induced pain with the help of my co-sister who was with me doing me massages all the time… Then they gave me an epidural so that I could save energy for pushing. Then I slept for 45 mins and to our surprise I was fully dilated and they broke my water.

Epidural was stopped and the doctor told me to practice pushing but I was unable to do it while lying so with the help of the nurse she made me to do squats and with 5 squats I was tired but to my surprise, they said the baby’s head is visible and we went to labor room upon my request my husband came in and I started to push with 3 pushes the baby boy was out on Feb 15 00:27 and I had only 1 stitch and was really happy and satisfied of myself…

A very big thanks to you and the doctor Pramya Mam and my parents, husband, my co co-sister for being there for me in this whole journey…. now started with my breastfeeding journey with many ups and downs… your class helped me a lot in this journey too especially whenever I feel low or doubt myself, I recall all the myths you debunked and gather the courage…… hoping to have the best journey with my baby boy….
