#vrikshamprepregjourney

Hi Anu Akka, This is a long pending Thank you note! I am your Jul-2021 pre-pregnancy student. We got married in 2019, my husband is a hotelier who doesn’t work in a proper shift timing and mostly will be in night shifts, which resulted in sleep issues and ED.

I am 33 years old now, have “Hypothyroidism” and am obese, after the pandemic my work was hectic and I ended up sitting for long hours and did not follow a proper lifestyle, diet, or sleep pattern. We tried for pregnancy in the mid of 2020, and after a few months met a gynecologist. She advised I have mild PCOD, a Bulky uterus, and that I should reduce weight to become pregnant.

I tried a lot but my weight did not reduce even a kg. Later, thinking about the issues, age, and family/society pressure this has become a depression for both of us, I was feeling very low and he is unable to recover from ED. The doctor then suggested going for an IUI as I am 30+ we tried IUI for 2 cycles and failed. We gave up and took a break.

There comes Anu Akka, I’ve been following you on Instagram and the successful pregnancy stories were inspiring and motivating. We attended your Jul’21 Pre-pregnancy webinar and it was an eye-opener, that nothing will stop us from becoming pregnant.

If we trust our body and stay positive. Honestly, I did not follow 100℅ from the webinar, but here and there whatever or whenever possible I tried following. Mainly I trusted and believed in myself and will thank my body every day. On 21st Sep’22, we saw the 2 magical pink lines for the first time in 3 years of marriage ❤️ Challenge goes on – In the first ultrasound on the 38th day cycle baby was not seen in the scan.

We consulted a gynecologist who is super positive as you, she said it might be an ectopic pregnancy or we must be screening very early. Suggested to check Beta HCG test which was only 440 and tripled to 1540 after 48 hours which confirmed that “We are pregnant”. We were over to the moon and back, everything was fine until the anomaly scan.

In Anomaly – the fetal medicine specialist said, that the baby has Single Umbilical Artery, and to compare with my NT/double marker test that there are chances we might be having a baby with downs and to do amniocentesis and decided to continue the pregnancy. We were broken, but my gynecologist was very strong that I am having a healthy baby, since doubt has arisen she suggested to go with NIPT instead of amniocentesis which is a similar screening test that will detect the abnormalities. NIPT test turned negative which indicates a healthy pregnancy.

Now I am 6 months pregnant Akka, throughout the entire journey I was following the only mantra of “Trust and love your body”. You are truly a God-sent angel for many of us ❤️ Thank you Anu Akka
