GIRL’S PARENTS SHOULD BE INHUMAN?
Hi, Anu Akka. I’m an active follower of your page. First, I thank you for helping women to voice their concerns. I’m from Bangalore and my husband is from Coimbatore.

Being a girl from a joint family I have never seen my grandfather, periya Appa (Paternal uncles), or my father dominate women in their house or suppress their (women’s) family.

I stepped into my marriage life with the same hope and expectations. It’s been just 2 years since our marriage and my in-laws and my husband think that just because they are the girl’s parents, they have to bow down to all their terms and conditions. Smile and accept insults without reacting. Do not question the son-in-law or his family when THEIR DAUGHTER is being hurt.

And when I ask my husband, he says “WHY YOUR FATHER CAN’T TAKE THIS RESPONSIBILITY “. My question is parents of a girl should give away their self-respect when they give away their girl?

PS: My husband and I have a daughter too!
