#vrikshambirthstory

Hi Anu Ka, Warm regards to you and your family. I am your pre-pregnancy, early pregnancy and labour management student.

I can’t thank you enough for all the knowledge that you shared in your sessions that helped me cope with and break all the myths about pregnancy. I had to just live in the most beautiful phase of my life so far without any unwanted practices but only with positivity and power…

We planned for a baby by 2022 end and we were so excited to see our positive pregnancy result in Mar 2022. We had a very serious workout and diet chart with balanced and timely meals as per your advice and it really helped us to pursue our plans.

My husband, my birth partner, my best friend… I chose him over other family members as my birth partner for all that he had been before and during my pregnancy. He was always keeping my mind open for all birthing options based on the situation.

I had religiously followed exercises and food habits (of course, cheat days were there). He motivated me every day to stay consistent. We packed our hospital bag during my 37th weekend with so much excitement. My EDD was Nov 6th but my husband and I always had made jokes that our baby would have other plans on arrival. Yes, on Oct 23rd I was on my regular workout routine, and late in the night around 1:50 am, I had my water broke while I was trying to sleep.

I and My husband recalled your classes and did all the breathing techniques on the way to the hospital. I had my contractions tracked on the app. It was pretty mild when we started from home but as we progressed it was a bit hard for me to even tell I was in pain. I held his hand for every contraction and it was convincing.

I was 3-4cms dilated when we reached the hospital. My contractions were getting worse very soon and I wasn’t really expecting the next stage of pain so soon. He did all things to keep me focused whenever I got distracted from doing breathing techniques out of pain. He stopped me whenever I was trying to keep my body rigid.

I got quickly moved to the active labour stage and the contractions were beyond my belief. I left him with scars on his wrist as a reminder of our labour! He was crying to see me in a lot of pain. I know he wouldn’t admit it. He said he was fine and kept motivating me.

The doctors suggested I was going to deliver in a few hours and just before I understood that statement the doctors were insisting on me to push. I was really lost because I couldn’t see my husband around as he was on and off into the room.

I was moved to the labour room and surrounded by all the health workers asking me to push but I had some emptiness in that situation. I couldn’t follow what the doctors were saying when they meant “push”.
I was trying 3-4 times, but still no. I was sweating like a crazy person and it was hard to breathe. Out of nowhere, my husband came into the labour room with a surgical suit and I finally understood what was going around. I got my head back and I started working on what my husband was saying, where to push the force and everything came to light.

Everyone in labour room was encouraging me to push with full cheer and In next 3 pushes, my baby popped out of me to kick start our Diwali for this lifetime on 24th Oct at 6:45 am. I had my eyes closed for my last push and I heard my husband say “Pri look who’s here! … It’s a boy!!” The baby was put on my tummy and I felt the whole world.

Both I and my husband were in extreme emotion. We both held each of his palms and that magical moment is so stuck in my head forever. I had no medical intervention nor an epidural to get through my baby’s birth.

That’s certainly what I had in my mind when asked honestly. I am so glad it was possible. All of this was possible when my husband was around and encouraging. That’s exactly why I’m happy and proud of having him as my birth partner.

Most of his knowledge on positive labour experience was based on your sessions. You’re a wonderful person and a teacher akka. Thank you for whatever you’re doing. You are the kind of influencers we truly need!

Thank you akka
