Hi Anupama, Please voice this out
I recently took my 2yr old daughter to play in a park near my home, this is my first, we were there and she was enjoying herself and trying to mingle with other kids who were playing there.

Every kid was accompanied by their mom’s or caretakers and they were all very friendly, one kid was with her grandfather and one more girl who was around 10 or 11yr old was with them and that old man was putting his hand on this 11yr old and I was finding it odd and kept an eye on them, after a minute that old man put his hand inside her top and touching that innocent kid and I got furious and threatened to go to the police, he left the place immediately with his granddaughter and I spoke to the kid who was unaware of what’s happening and I told her that no one supposed to touch her and to tell her parents about all that happened. She listened to me and after some time, she also went back home.

I want such predators not allowed in the society and I feel like I didn’t make any real change. I want to bring awareness to my neighborhood and others. I know this is happening to a lot of kids, I just want to protect them all as my own.
Thank you

Dear Parents,
This is so sad! Unfortunately, we have so many predators around, the best thing we can do to bring the change is to educate our children irrespective of the gender on the same, give them the courage to call such predators out in public and to create a healthy environment at home that children can freely share something troubling them without worrying about being judged. When going to common places it is good that children are accompanied by a caretaker because even in this case this particular child was not accompanied by someone and they are the easy targets.

Let’s together #bethechange for our children to live in a safer world.
