An unmedicated VBAC story
Hi Anu Akka,
I am your Feb labor management student…
My first pregnancy was an emergency c-section due to a low heart rate. They induced me at 37 weeks and my cervix was not diluted. Then broke my water and ended in the c section.
Second pregnancy I tried for VBAC. I was very active during my whole pregnancy. Attended your class in Feb and got a lot of knowledge. Unfortunately in my 32 weeks scan, I had a very low water level. so my doctor pushed me up to 36 weeks. The doctor was very supportive during that period. I was on continuous check for CT, and monitoring my water level every time. Then we scheduled c sec on April 15. By gods grace, I got my pain on April 13 at midnight.
On April 14 morning, when timing my contraction it was 15 min apart. Then we went to the hospital, and they checked and told me I was 1 cm dilated. Doc advised to admit immediately because of low water level and trying for VBAC. As I need to be monitored closely. At 3 pm we were admitted. I was doing breathing techniques and was very calm and didn’t shout. My husband was very supportive he made me remember all your ideas. I didn’t bite my teeth.
Then at 9 pm, I was 3 cm dilated but in severe pain. Then all of sudden I got the feeling to push and informed the nurse.
Then the doctor checked and I was 8 cm dilated at 9.40 pm by gods grace. After several pushes, my brave cute boy arrived at 10 pm. My doctor informed me only a little water during birth but my boy had perfect CT and heartbeat till the last min. Alhamdhulilah..
Your advice trust your body is the main thing. Even though my water level was low I didn’t lose confidence. To everyone who is pregnant and trying to get pregnant MIRACLE Will Happen… Just have trust…
