#VrikshamBirthStory

Hello Anupama!
I have attended your labor management, breastfeeding and infant care webinars. Let me start by thanking you for conducting these classes. These topics might seem as most natural things, only after attending your session we got to know how much we have misunderstood and have misinformation’s regarding these.

Myself Manasa and my husband’s name is Mithun. We welcomed our baby boy on November 15th. We have named him Amay. Your labor management class was our savior .

Here’s our story:
I started getting labor pain on 14th midnight 2am. The cramps and pain were mild and totally manageable with the help of your breathing techniques and walking around the house. I manage pain at home till 5:30 am. It was when it started getting little intense so we left for hospital. Even here thanks to your class we knew exactly what we need for hospital and our hospital bag was ready in well advance.
My husband had even kept the bags in car a week in advance. When pain started to get intense, we just easily left to the hospital without any fuss. When I got admitted I was 2 cm dilated. After few hours, at around 12 pm the pain started to get more intense but upon checking I was still 2 cm dilated. Walking around, swaying and the breathing exercises helped to cope with the labor pains.

The pain was getting more and more intense and when checked again at 2 pm I was 4 cm dilated. By this time, I was in labor for 12 hrs. The pain was too intense and I couldn’t bear it anymore. I asked for epidural. The labor went on for 12 more hours. Even with epidural I could feel the pain but only was less intense. And finally, between 2:30-3:00 am on 15th our baby boy was out in just 3 pushes.

The breathing techniques taught in your class were amazing. I guess I was the only one who wasn’t screaming at the hospital throughout my labor. As you told I was moaning whenever I felt the pain and it really helped to distract my mind off the pain. Sipper bottle idea was awesome. I couldn’t have gone through this without my husband. He was my strength throughout. He always reminded me to breathe. And had my water bottle and heating bag always with him to comfort me. He kept reminding me I can do it. He was also in my labor room with me and saw our baby boy coming into this world. He actually realized the importance of attending your classes after seeing how I handled my pains when he heard others screaming with pain.

Both of us thank you from the bottom of our hearts for spreading the knowledge and giving us the confidence. I am recommending your classes to whoever is expecting.

Even your infant care and breastfeeding classes have helped us to understand what not to do and why. Only the both of us have been handling and looking after our baby boy since day 1. We enjoy bathing him every day together.

We got this confidence only after attending your classes. Thank you so much again. Lots of love to you and your family 😊🤗🥰Our boy now 2.5 months old.
Eager to attend your Starting solids session soon😊P.S. I had second degree perineal tear from which I’ve already recovered
