A Vaginal Birth with 3.8kg Baby
#VrikshamBirthStory
Hai Anu akka,
I’m your labour management student. On October 14 we were blessed with a baby girl vaginally .We are happy to share our birth story.
On October 13 we went for a general checkup , on the same night I had a mild contraction about 7 to 8 mins apart and i started to record my contraction. Slowly my contraction got severe and i woke my husband. I began to sit on the birth ball and started my breathing exercises. I walked for few mins. My husband was my backbone.
We went to hospital around 5 in tha morning and there was an internal examination , I was only 2cm at that time and my doctor asked us to wait.
Around 7am they broke my water,my contractions became intense and I couldn’t bear the pain. Again there was an internal examination and i was 4cm dilated. By 7.30 contraction became severe and i started to vomit. I was fully exhausted, by the time i was 7cm dilated and i had a urge to push. I was pushing but unfortunately baby head was not coming out. Doctor decided to wait for some time and then to use either instrument or an emergency c – section, but i didn’t lose my hope. By trusting my body and my baby I pushed to next 20 mins. By gods grace I beautifully birthed a baby girl at 9.33 am with 3.8kg baby weight without any instruments.
Throughout my journey your breathing exercises held my hand and your sipper bottle technique was my life saver. I just wanted to mention that I was active form day one of my pregnancy and my husband motivated me in every single way he can. Thanks to you akka, after attending your class l had a clear vision about the labour and you broke the fear in me about the labour.
Thank you akka
