#voicethisout

Hi, Anu Akka. I want to voicethisout. In march, I birthed my second baby. It was a vaginal birth.

From that time, my mil used to tease me with my bloating tummy, saying, “you still look like a pregnant woman; why your tummy has not reduced”. She used to say this very often in front of relatives. It gives me some stress.

So after 6months, when we introduced solids to the baby, I started some workouts and made minor changes in my eating habits.

She couldn’t digest that, so she started to blame me that if I did these things, my milk supply would reduce. The baby won’t get enough milk. She kept nagging me day in and day out.

I Am a vegetarian. That, too, is a problem for her. She wants me to have non-veg foods; only the baby will get more milk; she gives so much stress Anu Akka.

Would you please voice out this, Akka? Why do people do these kinds of body shaming to new moms?
