Hypertension, Gestational diabetes, High BMI and Vaginal birth
#vrikshambirthstory
Hi Anu ma’am,
I am your August Labor management student. Initially, when I told one of my clg friends that I was pregnant, she suggested me to follow your page in March.
I was admired and still admire how you spread awareness about pregnancy and overall women empowerment. And later on, I decided to take your labor management classes.
I have zero knowledge about labor on how it starts and how it goes on. After I took your class I felt strong and confident about my pregnancy. Your classes made me feel stronger and gave hope that even I can try for vaginal birth.
This is my first pregnancy and it was High risk pregnancy with High BMI 45. Chronic Hypertension was diagnosed at 5th month and Gestational Diabetes at 8th month where I was on continuous medication and weekly NST check ups.
Depending on my medical profile, at 38th week on 19th Oct, my labor was induced with Propess pressary at 1.30 pm and my labor pains started around 5pm. This is when your labor classes came into picture and saved me. The breathing techniques you taught were life saveful…
The focal point while breathing really helped a lot and at 4am in the morning, I was dilated to 5cms. Contractions really started to hit very hard and I cannot take them anymore. The pain was very continuous and I don’t even know if there are any intervals in between contractions and I asked for a pain relief injection and it started to make me feel drowsy. Finally my water got broke and I felt as if someone popped the ballon inside my stomach.
I decided to go with Epidural at 7am and I was moved to labor ward around 8.30am. Anesthesia team was setting up things around me and I suddenly got the contractions sensations as if I am having the urge to poop and urinate at the same time.
All I was told was to do breathing exercises and suddenly around 9.20am I understood that something is going to pop out from my vagina and I cannot do anything about it.
I told my doctor to check my vagina and I told her that something is out. Suddenly a group of doctors assembled and made me to open my tighs apart and everything happened so fast and I felt as if I was watching some movie climax. At 9.36 am on 20th Oct, I gave birth to my baby boy vaginally, got tear all and it was a spontaneous vaginal delivery. I was in labor for 20 hrs and the moment I saw my baby coming out, everything felt very worth full and I gave feeding to my baby boy in the golden hour.
I really wanted to share my beautiful once in a life time unique experience with you. And Anu ma’am every one gives suggestions about pregnancy but you are different. You educate us in a strong way and empower us by showing examples and letting us know that even we can do it.
I am really grateful knowing you throughout my pregnancy and I am glad that I followed your Instagram page. Thank you so much for spreading awareness about pregnancy and we really need people like you. Lots n loads of love and respect to you and your family.
