#vrikshambirthstory

Hey Anu Akka. I am your pre-pregnancy, labor management student and breast-feeding class student. Here comes my birth story. I have attended your pre pregnancy class during June 2020. And we followed everything you mentioned in the class. And then after 3 years of marriage we got pregnant during January 2021.
During my 34th week scan and I was diagnosed with low AFI and later on with further scans it was diagnosed as oligohydramnios. As per doctor’s advice I was onto taking IV fluids every alternative day and was onto bed rest. During my 36th week my AFI levels became normal, and my doctor agreed to wait for normal pain to proceed. And I had pelvic examination that I was 0cm dilated. From that day onwards, I started doing walking, squats, duck walk, climbing stairs, ball exercise.

I started getting false contractions from 27th September. And during my 38th week on 30th September morning, doctor did my pelvic examination and said that I was 2 cm dilated. She asked to follow 5:1:1 rule to come to hospital. Same day evening around 6:30pm my mucus plug got out. I continued doing walking and ball exercise. Later on, I started having contractions from 8pm and it went closer each time.
We started to time our contractions in the app you suggested. And by 12:15 am of October 1, my contractions are in 10min gap, I took a hot shower and waited for the labor to progress. I Started doing the breathing techniques which you taught in class, and I was very calm, it helped me a lot akka. By 2:15 am My contractions were in 5:1:1 interval and we headed to hospital. Nurse checked me at 3:30 am, I was still 2cm dilated and baby is at pelvic station -3. By morning 6:30 am I was 4cm dilated and baby was at pelvic station -1. They started IV and all…

My husband was a huge support, he gave some good massages which you taught in class during my pain and it gave me new strength to bear my pain. By 9:30 am I was taken to the labor room, luckily, they allowed my husband inside. By 10:20 am I had vomiting which I was totally unexpected and I just started losing each and every hope I had. By 10:30 am my pain was very unbearable I lost each and every hope in me and started asked for Entonox. The doctor and nurses motivated and encouraged me; they gave me the hope which I lost. And they said you don’t need Entonox, you are doing so good, your baby will born in few minutes. By 10:40 am I started having pushing sensation, within 2 pushes by 10:43 am my little prince was born and We were in happy tears. And we did delayed cord clamping and breast feeding within 1hr.

Akka, I just wanna see you and hug you for what you’re doing, your class really helped me to overcome so many myths and I will send it separately to voice out. Your labor management techniques, breathing exercises and explanations of partners role were really great. You are really doing a great job. I pray and wish you that you have to reach many more heights.
