I am not trying to seek attention
#voicethisout
Hi akka, I wanted to share this so can hopefully voice this out in your post to create awareness.
My BF journey has been one of the most difficult one till now. I had postpartum complications- growth in my stitches, constipation, hemorrhoids, also ripped a few stitches due to which I could not feed or pump in the initial few days though I had a good supply. This caused a dip in my supply/baby started needing more than I could make.
I had to visit my lactation consultant to check my supply and found out that I have breast hypoplasia.
This was something that I have been trying to discuss with my mom since I attained puberty. I had always inferiority complex that my breasts were weird but never got a chance or the time of the day from my parents to discuss my physical insecurities. This was always a taboo at home.
Hope you can create awareness among new parents to provide a safe environment to discuss about physical insecurities (male or female) without being labelled/judged by their parents as tramp or “trying to just seek attention”.
