My Birth story C section after failed induction at 37 weeks and then unexpected post partum complication!!!

Hi Ms. Anupama,
I attended All your classes from pre pregnancy till new born care! I am very glad that I attended all your classes to gain knowledge in a correct way! As I stay in USA with no family around I would wanted to be prepared and learn things about pregnancy!

I conceived in November 2020 from then it’s been some or other things came up in between where we had to rush to Emergency here and there it’s been pretty roller coaster ride for us and on 37th week one day in my scan it was found out there was low amniotic fluid levels then they mentioned I need to be induced which we did not expect to happen then was induced for 4 days but there was no change in dialtion except for 50% of effacement by then my legs, arms were very badly swollen and decided to go for C section which again we didn’t expect it to happen. Had C section delivered our precious little boy on July 11 who was actually due on July 27 and then discharged in couple of days.

Then found out I had high Blood pressure after coming back home I had to readmit again for my high BP which is post partum preclampsia which is around 180/90s which I was not aware of this Condition and along with that my kidney function got detoriated then after a while I got discharged after 5 days and it’s been a very rough pregancy but in the end it’s all worth.

Though I was eating healthy and did all correct things but ended up having all these unexpected things and did not have a vaginal birth but I feel I did my best for the baby.

Even though I went through alot I am beyond happy that my baby boy is doing fine despite all the circumstances. I think in the end that all matters to a Mother.

The only complete support I had was my husband who took care of everything and being my strength to come over and being very patient in taking care of the baby. I feel very blessed and lucky to have him as my huge support system. Thank you for all you do to educate others. God bless your kids and family.
