#vrikshambirthstory,

Hi Akka. I and my husband attended your pre-pregnancy, early pregnancy, and labor management classes. we are happy to inform you that we are blessed with a boy baby on 21st December 2022 through normal delivery.

On the 19th night, I had mild contractions which were like period cramps and I managed the whole night with your breathing techniques and waited for the pain to get intense. But by morning I didn’t have any pain and I continued doing all the exercises throughout the day. Again on 20th night I had contractions which was manageable through your breathing techniques and the pain got intense by morning.

So, on the 21st morning, I informed everyone at home. I and my husband were timing the contractions and it was 5:1:1. So I took a hot shower and got ready to leave for the hospital. No one at home believed it to be labor pain because I didn’t cry or shout in pain and was managing well.

We reached the hospital at 12pm and my husband was motivated to continue breathing exercises. When the doctor saw me being calm, she didn’t think I was in labor. I informed her that I timed the contractions, and she did an internal check and told me that I was right and it was labor pain and I’m 2cm dilated. She informed my husband that I would deliver in a few hours and shifted me to the labor room.

At 1 pm doctor broke my amniotic sac for labor to progress. After the pain got intense and I was not able to walk or do other exercises so continued with breathing exercises. Doctors were checking for dilation at regular intervals and I was progressing.

At around 4 pm I was 6cm dilated and couldn’t bear the pain and asked for an epidural. But the doctors and my husband were motivating me to continue without an epidural and that I’m near to seeing my baby. They were checking the baby’s heart rate continuously.

At 5 pm I had the urge to push and informed the doctors and I was shifted to the delivery room. My husband was with me holding my hands and helped me push. I was pushing during contractions but was losing energy.

The main doctor came and saw me and decided to go for a vacuum Assisted vaginal birth and episiotomy was done. And soon my little prince arrived. We had immediate skin to skin and I kissed my baby, I’ll never forget that moment of happiness. All the nurses and doctors appreciated that I was calm throughout. It was all through the knowledge I and my husband gained about birthing through your classes. Thank you Akka you are doing a great job, keep supporting mothers.
