An accident at 38 weeks and vaginal birth
#vrikshambirthstory
Hi Ka
I really wanted to share my birth story for a very long time … My birth story was full of twist and turns I’ve attended pre-pregnancy, early pregnancy and labour management student and breast feeding classes ..
This is my birth story
I got conceived after a year of marriage and your pre pregnancy class helped us to get conceived within a month of planning and throughout my pregnancy I was healthy and very much active.
I have done all the exercises you thought in early and labour management session all was good till my 37th week scan my AFI level was little bit low and my doctor wanted to wait for another week but if it’s too low she informed to take an elective section but with proper diet and water intake at my 38th week my water level was well maintained, she give a green signal for normal delivery.
Then there comes a problem again, i met with an accident the same day while crossing the road I was hit by a bike and had some injuries and we rushed to the hospital my whole family was worried and asked for a c section.
After checking me and my baby my doctor reassured that baby is fine we can still wait for another week.
I couldn’t barely walk or sit on my own but my baby was doing fine after a week my doctor did a pelvic examination and said I can go for a vaginal birth.
I owe it to being active, doing exercises and following the good diet that I was following up to the day ,I got induced by gel on March 3rd.
Initially I got no pain till afternoon and there comes my family asking for a c section again as I couldn’t even lie down properly that asked how could I do a vaginal birth but my doctor stood by my side she was sure that we both could go through that and my body will do that.
I started getting contractions that evening and I was feeling better in gym ball and on March 4th, 2 am my baby boy arrived in 3 pushes.
Thanks to you and my doctor without your classes I wouldn’t be strong and without my doctor’s support I wouldn’t be able to do vaginal birth after the accident.
