A story of never giving up
#vrikshambirthstory
Hi Anu akka this is Poornisha from erode. Initially I was your silent follower and then I’m your labor management student. We are completing our one year of parenting today.
So, the story goes like this…
Last year on April 7th around 2pm my water broke and I went to the hospital immediately as I have gestational diabetes. The doctor checked PV and told me that dilation had not yet started. I started walking little as the doctor advised not to stress more because of bleeding and waited almost 5 hours. No progress.
Around 7pm I was induced since dilation was happening. After an hour I could see mild contractions. There came actual pain starting and I was 2cm dilated. Initially my dilation was very slow and whenever I got pain, I followed your breathing techniques.
Meanwhile My husband was fully supporting me, walking with me, encouraging me and massaging me during contraction. Around 10pm i was taken to the labor room for PV, to my disappointment just 3cm dilated.
Within a few minutes my contraction was getting very stronger and I was trying to save energy for pushing without getting exhausted. The nurse was very kind to me and they were encouraging and supporting me completely for normal delivery.
At 12.30pm something I have some diff kind of pushing feel and informed nurse. I was shifted to the labor room and the doctor checked PV. To my surprising doctor said that within a few minute your baby will come and you are 8 cm dilated.
Contractions increased suddenly more and I was 10cm dilated within a few minutes. The doctor told me I’m completely dilated and asked to push. Then with two push my baby came out at 1. 06am.Doctors and nurses were also very polite and kind to me throughout labor. Throughout my Labor your breathing techniques were like energy boosters. I keep saying to myself Trust your body it will make magic.
Total labor pain was like 6 hours and all this was possible because of your proper guidance in walking, doing exercise, intake diet etc. Which i started from 6 month onwards.
Initially I have zero knowledge on labor and how it goes. After attending your session, it helps me to understand more things and differentiate what is happening over me without getting panic. I felt strong and confident on my pregnancy journey. Then continues.. I successfully completed 6 months of breastfeeding for my baby even during those harder days when I was tested covid positive when he was 1 month old…
At the same time, I have ducts issues on one side breast and my baby is only single side breastfeeding as he was not uncomfortable on another side.
But I never give up I always keep your mantra Trusting our body. Still having no idea of stopping bf till he was 2 years minimum.
Thank you so much for being an inspiring woman in everyone’s life. You educate women in a stronger way and lots and lots of respects to you akka.
Thank you again.
